The combination of vibrant gray-green-red segments is a direct tribute to the iconic VDO gauges found in early Porsche 356s and the legendary 1960s “longhood” 911s. This design instantly grounds the 997 cockpit in pure, classic mechanical watchmaker styling, making the instrument cluster look like an piece of timeless industrial design.
The green arc highlights the mid-range beautifully, but more importantly, it creates an incredible contrast when the gauge shifts into the solid red zone right at the limit. Historically, Porsche chose green markings because it is the easiest color for the human eye to process in low-light conditions without disrupting night vision.
The Heritage design edition pairs elegantly with brushed aluminum trim, a leather-wrapped dashboard, or even a classic wooden or personalized shift knob if the build is leaning toward a retro-inspired street-outlaw vibe.

Custom made items
Custom orders (custom design, color, logos, special backlighting, or made for your exact configuration) are not returnable or refundable once production has started.
If you need to cancel or change a custom order, contact us immediately. Changes are possible before production starts.
Wrong item, damage, defects, or backlighting concerns
If your item arrives wrong or damaged, or you notice a defect/backlighting issue, contact us within 14 days with photos or a short video. We will typically remake or replace until it is right.
