There is a functional reason why RUF chose that specific green. Green light is the easiest for the human eye to process in low-light conditions. On long night drives, the soft green glow is much less taxing on your eyes than the standard white or orange-red backlight.
The green-on-black look is a direct throwback to the legendary Porsche 356 and early 911s, which featured green instrumentation.
