The yellow-white combo creates a very specific, technical look that feels more like a piece of high-end Swiss horology than a standard car dashboard. It’s brave because it’s unconventional, but it’s successful because it follows the rules of good design.
By making it yellow while the secondary gauges remain white, you’re creating a visual hierarchy. In the 996, where the five-gauge cluster can look a bit cluttered, this “color blocking” actually cleans up the visual noise.
If the car is Arctic Silver, Seal Grey, or Black, this setup is brilliant. It gives the car a “secret” personality that you only see once you’re in the driver’s seat.
